The spaciousness of the Mews is often commented upon by clients, who expect it to be smaller from the photos. The kitchen/living room seats 3 comfortably for relaxing, and has a small table for dining. Some clients prefer to eat informally at the coffee table while they watch TV.
The large table in the summer room is perfect for spreading out, whether it’s maps, jig-saw puzzles, laptops newspapers whatever. This is where some clients plan their days, while others prefer to sit with their coffee in the mornings looking out at the pastoral landscape – sometimes enlivened by sheep on the other side of the hedge demanding their own breakfast, and very occasionally, a wild deer.
The bedroom has a king-sized bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. It can be organised to accomodate the single fold-up bed or the travel cot. A comfortable sofa-bed in the summer-room gives people their own space and additional comfort – day and night.
The wetroom has small mosaic non-slip tiles, room-length mirror, a wash hand basin and toilet.
Bookcases are stocked with books, games, cards etc, mostly in English though occasionally guests leave books in other languages.
The Mews is popular with guests, having atmosphere and privacy. The summer room is pleasant for breakfast in the mornings, with double doors leading to a private garden, and the living/kitchen area is old fashioned with original beams, and a stove. The kitchen is easy to manage, everything is accessable. In the living area there’s a comfortable sofa and sofa-bed, table and chairs, coffee table and TV. In the back porch another door leads to the Farmyard, and the window beside it has lovely views.
Notes: The fridge has a 3* freezer compartment. There are shared washing-machine facilities on the property.
