The Loft style is contemporary and relaxed.
Upstairs, a large gable end window floods the open plan kitchen/living-room with light and provides stunning views over the valley and hills of the surrounding countryside. The dramatic chimney of the modern wood-burning stove splits the gable-end window with its silver column.
Double doors in the kitchen lead onto a decking platform outside, with views up to the hills above. Breakfast here in the morning sun, or sit at night with a bottle of wine and listen to the animal sounds. Deer and foxes sometimes cross the field a few metres from the Loft at dawn or sunset. The photograph of the rainbow was taken from here.
Downstairs, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (one en-suite) are warmed by underfloor heating in winter.
The Loft was renovated so as to keep the appearance of the old yard intact. All downstairs doors can be opened and have glass-panelled interior doors behind.
Underfloor heating downstairs combined with sun flooding the upstairs area makes the Loft very warm the whole year round. It is good for winter breaks as well as summer.
The area is very peaceful, private and secure – an oasis to come home to at evening time, or to chill out in for a few days.
Notes: Considerate smokers who use the balcony or farmyard to smoke are very welcome. We ask our guests to smoke outside on the decking area or in the farmyard.
The Loft was first let in 2011, and has had excellent reviews in the advertising website www.homeaway.co.uk
